Just Add Ink # 233 - Petite Petals

Here is the sketch challenge that I am playing along with from Just Add Ink #233......

JAI 233

My first thought was flowers...but felt I needed to include something that had texture as well. This card is for a friend that is having a birthday soon and loves flowers and bright colours....

I stamped the Petite Petals in three colours, punched them out and then stuck them down the first banner. I then placed the banner inside the new embossing folder, Tiny Triangles and ran it thru the Big Shot. I then placed that onto the next size banner I had cut out.

Work of Art

Work of Art (free at Convention - love Stampin' Up for looking after us) is such a quick and easy stamp set to use. The beautiful Tangelo Twist inked once and stamped three times on the card to give that beautiful shading. Hello Honey I inked and stamped off once onto another card and then stamped it onto the card giving that lighter shade.

Used the butterfly stamps from Kinda Eclectic (this was another freebie at convention this year) and stamped them in Hello Honey and again stamped off once before stamping them again onto the card stock. Quick punch,Butterflies added with a glue dot to the card and some rhinestones, they were done. Inside was white card stock with a Hello Honey large butterfly punched on it (next time will take a pic). Used the Project Life corner punch to do the right side corners.

Stampin' Up Convention 2014 in Melbourne

My swap for the Stampin' Up Convention that was held in Melbourne.

I cut out ovals & circles from whisper white then sponged the colours on.
The main card was black with a layer of Rich Razzleberry on top. Then either a black cardstock behind the oval or circle. Then words to finish off.

I have also attached some other pics from convention, we cetainly had a wonderful time.
Some of the wonderful products that we used

I will find the after party shots and put some of them up next....

INKspired Sketch Blog Hop 1- stampwithmareescards

Welcome to my blog you may just be starting the INKspired Sketch blog hop or you may have hopped across from Marlene Goulder. This is the Sketch that the talented Teneale Williams gave us to play with this fortnight.
When I  saw the sketch the wonderful burlap ribbon was calling and since spring is in the air ( I have four female geese sitting on eggs, oh the noise and fights!) I just had to use the birds and nest stamp from the wonderful World of Dreams stamp set, love this set. Then for the card I had to use Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and added another layer that was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder and sponged with the Baked Brown Sugar ink. With the words punched and a Bitty butterfly inked and punched out (love the punches, so quick n easy), it was complete. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you in a fortnight's time when we reveal the next sketch.
Next on the INKspired Sketch blog hop is Narelle Macey.
